Kiara’s Daycare, Episode Three

It was another good day at the daycare, with several kids already- Cody the Kangaroo, Kieran the Red Wolf, Jeremy the Turtle, and Gabriel the Red Fox.

DING DONG!

Kiara's ears perked up, "I'll get it." she said, Cody in her arms as she answered the door.

At the door, was a mouse boy with snow white fur, along with his mother, who smiled as she sees Kiara.

"Morning Miss. Adam, busy day today?" Kiara asked.

"Yes, you don't mind watching after Chris, do you?", she replied.

"Not at all, kids are always welcome at Kiara's Daycare." Kiara smiled.

"Thank you very much.", Mis Adam said happily.

Kiara smiled again, "Come on in, Chris."

"Friends are in the playroom." Cody said, Kiara petting him on the head.

Chris nodded.  "Thanks, Miss. Kiara!" He ran into the daycare, headed for the playroom.

"Have a good day, Miss Adam." Cody said.

"Thank you, child.", Miss. Adam said.  "I'll be back later."

The white mouse departed.

Kiara set Cody down, "Thank you, Cody, now go on to the playroom.  Remember, follow the blue line."

Cody smiled as he rushed to the playroom, being sure he was next to the blue line on the wall.

As Kiara was about to head to the kitchen, someone knocked on the door. Kiara turned around and answered again.

At the door this time, were two little black cat kittens, and their mother.  The younger child, Damien, was holding a blue blanket, looking pretty excited.  His clothes consisted of a green t-shirt, and jeans for pants, with a blue sweatshirt tied around his little waist.

"Good morning, Mrs. Bell, another all-nighter?" Kiara asked with concern.

"I'm afraid so.", she answered.  "But at least Damien and Jason have more time to spend with you, right?"

"Yes, they can stay the night, and you can be sure they'll be safe." Kiara assured.

"Thank you so much for looking after them.", Miss. Bell said gratefully.

"You're welcome." Kiara said, "Come on in boys, you remember where the playroom is, right?"

Jason nodded.  "Follow the blue line, right?", he asked to make sure.

"Yep, and don't lose little Damien on the way." Kiara mentioned.

Damien giggled.  "I'll be sure to keep him close by.", Jason said reassuringly. He then took Damien's hand and headed for the playroom.

"Your boys are in good hands, Miss. Bell." Kiara said.

Miss. Bell smiled.  "I'm sure they are.  Well, I'll be back tomorrow.  See ya then.", she said before departing.

Kiara proceeded to the kitchen.

Damien and Jason soon arrived in the playroom, and they looked around to see who was there.

All the current kids were there; Cody, Chris, Gabriel, Kieran, and Jeremy. There was also Kiara's own kids, Monica and Kemba, and caretakers Roy and Neela.

Damien waved hello, as Jason said, "Hi guys!  We're here!"

Neela looked at them. "Jason, Damien, welcome." The adult horse came over and kneeled down.

"Hey Neela, how is everything going?", Jason asked.

"Very well, and you boys look like you're ready to play." Neela smiled.

"Yeah.", Damien said.  "Let's go join the others."  Jason nodded in agreement before they rushed over to the other children.  Neela smiled and came with them to the others.

"What game should we play?" Cody asked.

"Can we play a video game?", Damien asked in return, raising his hand.

"No no no." Roy said, "No Video Games til 11 am, you know the rules."

Damien pouted a little, then Jason raised his hand.  "A board game then?", he asked.

"Good idea," Roy smiled, the other kids agreeing. "So you get the honor of picking out the came, Jason."

Jason began browsing the games, looking through his choices.  "Man, there are a lot of good ones in here...", he thought aloud.  After a bit, he chose Pictionary.

Neela and Roy helped set the game up, "Okay, there's nine of you, so we'll have three trio teams. Let's see... Jason, Damien, and Jeremy."

Jason and Damien walked over to Jeremy happily as their names were called.  "Hey there.", Jeremy greeted.  "Hi.", Damien replied.  "Let's try our best." Jason said confidently.

Neela chose the next time. "Kieran, Gabriel, and Cody."

"Red Fox, Red Wolf, and Red Kangaroo." Cody observed.

Damien giggled, as the three red animals grouped up.  Gabriel looks at his teammates.  "This is going to be lots of fun, right?", he asked.  "I've never played this one before."

"I'll help you out." Cody said, and began, in his kid vocabulary, explaining the game.

"That leaves Chris, Kemba, and Monica."

As his team was grouping up, Chris glanced at their competition, before returning his attention to his team.  "This is going to be great, I love drawing.", he said.

"Awesome!" Kemba smiled, showing his lion's teeth.

Chris smiled as well, happy that he could be of use to the team.

"Okay kids, let's get this game started." Neela said.

Each team took their seats along a corner of the game border, eager to play the game, and hopefully win.

After a few games, two wins per game.

"Okay, I think that enough of this game, look, it's 11:00." Roy pointed at the clock.

"I agree.", Jason said as he stretched and stood up.

"Pokemon Battle Revolution, anyone?" Kemba asked.

Damien immediately raised his hand.  "Me!", he exclaimed.

"Me!" Cody said.

"And me!" Jeremy finished.

Damien rushed over to the TV, and plopped down on one of the comfy beanbag chairs.

Cody, Kemba, and Jeremy soon joined him, each sitting themselves on another Beanbag chair.

Damien started up the game, and passed a controller to all the participants.

But as the game was starting up, the playroom magic began to kick in. The game continued to start up as the magic lifted the four kids up in the air.

Damien got surprised a little by the sudden start of the magic.  After he was in the air for a bit, he giggled.  "Cool!"

"Whoa, the playroom magic is doing something to make us feel more comfortable." Kemba said.

Cody nodded in agreement.  "I wonder why.", Damien replied as he looked towards the TV screen.

As the four kids floated in the air, four sets of Pajamas appeared, one for each of them.

Damien looked at the pajamas and smiled.  "Wow! The magic really wants to make us comfy."

Cody watched as one set, a cute little white camo footed sleeper, approached him as a small backpack appeared next to him. His little shirt was gently pulled off his torso, then his shoes were untied & removed from his now bare feet, finally followed by his jeans slipping down and off of his legs. The sleeper began to gently slip itself onto the young Kangaroo, making sure he was nice and snug before zipping itself up, and Cody was gently sat back down on his beanbag chair as his clothes folded up by themselves, placed in the backpack, and the backpack landing right next to him. "Wow, these pajamas feel nice and comfy." he said, as he picked his Wii remote up.

Damien had a green camo sleeper, but without the feet.  As they floated over to him, his sweatshirt and t-shirt were slowly removed from his chest, his sneakers were untied and taken from his bare feet, and his jeans were slipped off of his legs.  Then, the pajamas were gently slipped on and zipped up.  Damien felt at the soft pajamas, and smiled.  "These are awesome!", Damien said happily as he picked up his Wii Remote as well.  His daytime clothes were placed into the backpack that had appeared for him.

Cody and Damien watched as Kemba and Jeremy were changed into white and red camo sleepers respectively, and sat back down.

"Wow, I like my new sleeper." Cody said, snuggling in the comfort and warmth.

Damien nodded in agreement.  "They're very comfy, perfect for gaming.", Jeremy added.

"Let's just get started.", Damien said with a giggle as he pressed the '+' button on his controller.

Meanwhile with the others, Neela goes to watch over the four boys.

"So what should we do?" Monica asked.

Chris rubbed his tummy a little.  "Well, it's getting close to noon, right?  Maybe we should have an early lunch."

"Be patient, kiara will have lunch ready soon." Roy assured.

"Hmmm, OH, how about a puzzle?" Gabriel suggested.

"Those are fun!", Chris exclaimed.  "What kind of puzzles do we have?"

"Oh, plenty, But I have one that we can try." Roy said as he walked over to the Puzzle shelf, and pulled out a Forest themed puzzle, bringing it over.

"I've never played this kind of puzzle before." Gabriel said.  "How does it work?"

"Put the pieces together to complete the picture." Roy siad.

"OH a jigzaw puzzle!" Jason said happily.

"Should've guessed that...", Gabriel said, as he sat down near the box carrying the puzzle.  Chris followed suit.

Roy opened the box and showed the 50-piece puzzle, "Fun tip, when me and my friends did jigsaw puzzles we started with the rim of the picture, the edges, and worked our way inward."

"Thanks for the tip, let's try it out here." Chris replied.  "Well, the corners look easiest to figure out..."

"OH!" Monica, right of the bat, put three edge pieces together.

"Nice!", Gabriel complimented, as Chris helpe him chain together four pieces, two edge, and two that happened to connect to those edges.

Soon, Kiara came into the playroom, "ok kids, it's lunchtime."

Damien jumped up from his game, and rushed over to Kiara excitedly, as did the other kids, happy to fill their tummies.

"You know the rules, what do you do before you eat?"

"Wash our paws!" Cody said.

"Very good." Kiara smiled.

"Where's the sink then?", Jason inquired. Kiara gestured to the wall, and pointed to the redline underneath the blue line. "The bathroom of course."

Everyone began to head to the bathroom, following the red line.

Kiara and the other caretakers set the table as the kids returned from the bathroom.

Damien smiled as he took his seat at the table.  "What's for lunch?", Jason asked as he sat down right next to Damien.

Kiara served Lunch- Mac & Cheese with chopped hot dogs.

Everyone began eating happily.  "This is really good!", Chris exclaims as he eats.

"Of course it is, Kiara made it.", Damien replied as he wolfed his food.

"Anyway Kiara makes will always be good." Jeremy said, chowing down.

As everyone began to finish eating, Jason yawned, followed by Cody and Kemba.

Damien rubbed his eyes.  "I'm feeling tired...", he said sleepily.

Soon enough, all the kids were yawning, sleepy.

"Aww, looks like it's nap time, and some of you are already dress for bed, Roy, Neela, I'll take Kemba, Jeremy, Joey, and Damien to the guestroom, can you take the others to the changing room and get them dressed for bed?" Kiara said.

Roy and Neela nod and bring the other kids to the changing room.

Kiara got the four boys upstairs to the guest room. "Ready for a nap kids?"

Damien nodded.  "Yeah...", he said, trailing off into a yawn.

Kiara smiled, picking up Damien and placing him in bed, she then gently tucked him in.

Damien snuggled into bed, and smiled as he dozed off to sleep.

Kiara then tucked Cody into bed, petting him on the head.

"Night night..." Cody said, drifting into gently slumber.

Jeremy was the next to be tucked in, and he soon fell asleep as well.

And finally, Kemba, tucked in nice and snug, and even got a kiss on the forehead, as he fell asleep.

Over at the changing room, Roy and Neela opened the Pajama closet. "You kids know the drill, pick out what you want."

Jason picked out a blue sleeper and smiled.  "This looks comfy."  He slipped into it happily.

Gabriel found nice red sleeper. "This one is perfect." He said, putting it on and zipping it up.

Chris saw a yellow sleeper and picked it up.  "I like this colour.", He said as he put the sleeper on.

Monica picked her favorite, glittery pink sleeper, putting it on and getting zipped up.

After everyone was in their sleepers, they headed back to the bedroom.

Neela gently tucked Jason into bed, petting his head gently.

Jason purred softly as he fell asleep.

Roy tucked chris in nice and snug, "Sleep tight little one."

Chris smiled and yawned.  "Thanks Roy." He said, drifting off to sleep.

One by one, the caretakers tucked in the rest of the kids, Kiara turned the nightlight on and the room lights off, and closed the door.

"I guess we have a moment of peace." Kiara said.

Roy nodded.  "What shall we do in the meantime?", he asked.

"I'll be reading a novel in the living room." Neela said, stepping away.

Roy stretched a bit.  "I'll be watching TV, then."  He walked off as well.

Kiara smiled, as looked at the photos on the wall.

Roy headed back to the playroom and sat in one of the beanbag chairs to get comfy while he watched TV.

Ding Dong!

Roy stopped watching tv and went to the door, answering the knock.

It was Cody's mother, Faloo Cameron. "Afternoon, Roy."

"Hello Miss. Cameron, how are you?", Roy replied with a smile.

"Much better than this morning.  My co-workers stopped bickering and we were able to actually get the work done much faster, so I'm here to pick up my little sweetie." Faloo smiled.

Roy nodded.  "I'll go get him."  Roy walked up to the bedroom and checked to see if Cody was awake.

The little roo was still sound asleep; but Roy remembered that he'd been a good little boy.

Roy carefully picked him up and his little backpack, and brought him down to Faloo happily.  "Here he is, Miss. Cameron.", He whispered with smile.

"Aaww," Faloo adored the litte one, as she accepted him and the backpack. "Has he been a good boy?"

"He's been very good, so he can keep the sleeper.", Roy replied.

"Thank you Roy, see you around." Faloo bowed, and departed with her boy.

Roy smiled and headed back inside, walking back to the TV, to find sweet little Damien on the beanbag chair, waiting for him.

Damien waved to Roy, who tilted his head.  "I didn't think you'd be up already.", he commented.

"The ding dong woke me up, and I saw you at the door, so I wanted to surprise you." The little cat said.

"Well, let's watch TV then.", Roy said as he sat back down, brought Damien onto his lap, and began watching again.

Damien watched with him happily, his tail swishing a little. But Roy was not surprised when damien was back to sleep after one show, the Squirel pulled out a blanket, wraped Damien nice and snug in it, and laid the little kitten down next to himself on the beanbag chair.

Damien snuggled up into the blanket, curling up a little.

Ding Dong!

Kiara answered the door this time, It was Kieran's father, Gerald Conway.

Gerald smiled as he saw Kiara.  "Hello, Miss Mage.  How's my little Kieran doing?", He asked.

"Sleeping nice and snug upstairs, the meeting went well I assume?" Kiara asked.

He nodded.  "Yes, ended right on time.  Did Kieran behave well?"

"He was very quiet, but yes." Kiara said, as if on cue, a sleepy little Kieran came down the stairs with his backpack, yawning and rubbing his little eyes.

"Hi Kieran!", Gerald said, waving to his little child.

"Papa?"

"Yes, I assume you slept well?", Hasked, chuckling as he looked at his drowsy son.

"A little..." Kieran yawned.

Gareld smiled.  "You ready to head home?", He asked as he picked Kieran up.

Kieran yawned, "May I nap in the car?"

"Of course."  Gareld turned his attention to Kiara.  "Thank you for watching him."

"Anytime Mr. Conway." Kiara replied.

Gerald carried his child away, smiling.

After a couple of hours, Jeremy and Gabriel woke up, nice and rested.

Gabriel stretched and yawned as he woke up, and hopped out of bed.

Jeremy rubbed his eyes before hopping out of bed himself. "Shhh, let's not wake the little kids." The turtle whispered.

Gabriel nodded and walked out of the room.

The two slowly walked downstairs, and quietly followed the blue line.

Gabriel walked into the playroom and looked around.  "So, what would you like to do now?", he asked.

The two notice someone by the TV. "Shh... someone's over there..."

Damien was still resting by the TV, snoozing happily.  "Hm, people are sleeping everywhere...", Gabriel said.

"But he is cute." Jeremy said.

"No doubt.", Gabriel said in agreement.  "But what should we do?"

"...hmmm, TV? Bundle up like Damien?"

"How about both?", Gabriel suggested with a smile.

The Playroom magic carried some blankets for them to use.

Gabriel grabbed his blanket and smiled.  "Wow, cool!"

"Thank you Playroom magic." Jeremy said, the little turtle then sat on the beanbag chair, and wrapping him up to his neck, nice and snug in the blanket, just like Damien was.

Gabriel followed suit, sitting down in one of the beanbag chairs and snuggling up in his soft blanket.  He used the remote to turn on the TV, and lowered the volume, so as not to disturb anyone else.

"How about a movie? Wreck it Ralph maybe?" Jeremy suggested.

"I like that movie, let's watch it.", Gabriel replied.

The Playroom magic set the tv to the dvd mode and put the movie in for them.

Damien yawned and began to awaken again.  "Hm?  What'd I miss?", He asked groggily.

"Nothing.  You're just in time for the movie."

"Huh?  Jeremy?  Gabriel?  When did you get here?  And What movie?"

"Wreck-it Ralph.", Gabriel answered with a grin.

"Oh, I love Disney movies.  Can we watch Frozen afterwards?"

"Sure." Jeremy said as the Playroom put the DVD in the six slot player.

Both Damien and Gabriel looked eager to watch the movies, as Chris and Jason began to wake up.  They heard the movie playing and headed to the playroom.

They came during the trailers.

"What are you guys watching?" Chris asked.

Wreck-it Ralph for now, then Frozen.", Damien said.

"Can we watch Bambi too?" Chris asked.

"And Fox and the Hound?" Jason added.

The Playroom's magic adds those two discs into the player.

Chris got a blanket and got comfy in another beanbag chair.

Jason sat next to Damien and shared his blanket happily.

And finally, was Kiara's kids, Kemba and Monica.

"Movie Marathon?" Kemba asked.

"Yup!", Chris answered.

"What've we got?" Monica asked.

"Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen, Bambi, and the Fox and the Hound.", Damien said.

"Can we throw in Tangled?" Monica asked.

"OH, and how about Aladdin?" Kemba added.

"Sure!", Gabriel said happily, as the magic of the playroom adds the discs, filling up the disc player. "That's six movies, and the movie's waiting for us all to be cozy.

Monica and Kemba nodded, getting blankets and getting comfy in beanbag chairs.

Everyone wrapped up in the blankets, snuggling in as the first movie began. But as the movie started, the playroom magic provided one last thing: Popcorn.

Damien took a bite of some popcorn.  "Yummy!", He commented.

And so the movie began, and lights even dim theater style.

Everyone's focus drew to the TV.

Neela, checking on the kids, sees their little activity, smiling as she reported to Kiara. "The kids are enjoying a little disney movie marathon in the playroom. It's really cute."

"That does sound very cute.  Are you interested in joining them?", Kiara asked.

Neela nodded.

"The kids need a chaperone at the movies." Roy joked.

"Both of you can join if you want.", Kiara said with a light chuckle.

"Thank you Kiara." Neela said, as she and roy headed to the playroom.

"Children, so sweet and lovable." Kiara said to herself.

An hour or so later, the phone rang.

Kiara answered the phone.  "Hello, this is Kiara Mage, who am I speaking to?", she asked pleasantly.

"It's Jeremy's mother."

"Oh Hello Miss Williams."

"I'm sorry to drop this on you, but we've gone overtime over here. I assume by now you know what that means for Jeremy."

"Okay, Miss Williams, thank you for letting me know.", Kiara replied.

"I should be able to pick him up tomorrow after noon."

"Okay then, I'll see you tomorrow." Kiara hung up, and the phone rang again.

She picked up, and Miss Richmond, Gabriel's mom, was at the other end.

"Oh, hello Miss Richmond, how are you?"

"I'm doing okay, I guess.  I messed up with today's work, and I have to redo it.  Can Gabriel stay overnight tonight?", she requested.

"That's fine, he's be safe here, so don't worry." Kiara said.

"Thank you so much.", Miss Richmond said with a sigh of relief.

"It's no Problem, see you tomorrow." Kiara said.

"See you then."  Miss Richmond hung up the phone.

Knock, Knock, Knock!

Kiara answered the door as she heard the knocking.

It was Chris' Mother, Eudora Frederick, at the door. "Hello again, Kiara."

"Hello Miss Frederick, how are you?"

"Good, how's my little mouse doing?" Eudora asked.

"Chris and the others are watching a movie currently.", Kiara said.

"Aww, that's cute."

"And, all the other kids are staying the night."

"Oh... I see." Eudora thought for a moment. "You know what, my boy has been a good boy, I'll let him stay the night too."

"Oh, that's very sweet of you." Kiara said, smiling.

"It's no problem at all.  I'll pick him up tomorrow at lunchtime.", Eudora said.  "Thank you."  She then headed off.

After a couple more hours, Kiara noticed that the playroom, was quiet, even with the movies done. Curious, Kiara investigated.

After the movies had finished, everyone was asleep, snuggled into their blankets happily, Sleeping adorably on the beanbag chairs, even Neela and Roy were sleeping. Amused, Kiara sent Neela's family a message, letting them know she's okay. After a confirmatory response, Kiara made sure the lights stayed dimmed for the night, and turned on the nightlights. "Sleep tight everyone, tomorrow's another day." She said, closing the door.
