in the skies above the forests near sky city, for energetic, flying type Pokémon were windsurfing, writing the air currents for fun. The thermals felt amazing under Ven's wings, riding up and down along the currents with his brothers. "Watch out Ven, here comes the loop the loop in the current." Pidgeot said. "This is great! A loop would be even better!" His voice was excited, as he sped forward into the loop, twisting and turning over and over, his wings pumping to get more altitude. right after the loop the air current ended. "Whoa, did that one go out with a bang!!!" said Jacob the Taillow, Ven's youngest brother. Ven looked at Taillow before flapping frantically to get the altitude back. "That was abrupt! Wish it could've lasted longer."

"of course you have to admit, it was going out with a bang, in a matter speaking" Pidgeot said, agreeing with Jacob. Ven nodded in agreement, before looking back at Pidgey, seeing him struggling to keep up. He slowed down and kept up with Pidgey, as he looked at Pidgeot. "Looks like he's getting tired. Maybe we should take a break."

after getting Pidgey and Jacob both on his back, Pidgeot said, "I agree, it's break time" they then descend back into the forest. "so how has your first month as a Pidgeotto felt, Ventus?" asked Pidgeot. Ven looked at Pidgeot as he carried Pidgey and Jacob, nodding. "Its been great! It still feels awesome to fly whenever." He twirled in a corkscrew pattern next to Pidgeot, loving the feel of the wind streaming over his wings.

"take it easy, I can only carry up to two on my back, don't be hurt myself" Pidgeot said, landing by the lake. Ven chuckled before landing next to Pidgeot, his wings stretching behind him before nestling against his back. "Yeah, take it easy big bro." Pidgey hopped off of Pidgeot's back, chirping happily. "That was a lot of fun! I hope I can get stronger to keep up with you next time."

Pidgeot smiles, "hey look" Jacob said, pointing in a human on the other side of the Lake. Ven looked at Jacob before looking across the lake at the human, turning to get a better look at him. "Who is that?" the more Ventus looked at the human, the more familiar he look, then Ven instantly recognized him. Ven jumped in surprise, his wings spreading before looking at the others. "I know that boy! it's my friend Claus! I wonder what he's doing here..." He looked back at Claus from across the lake, his head tilting slightly.

"want to find out" Jacob said, spreading his wings to fly over to Claus. Ven looked at Jacob and hesitated a moment, before he spread his own wings and took off towards Claus. When just a few feet from him he landed quietly and hopped closer to him, chirping softly so not to startle him.

"oh, hello there, Pidgeotto" Claus said, then he pulled out a entire loaf of bread he brought to feed the birds with, he placed a whole pile of bread crumbs on the ground for Ven. Ven watched him take out the bread and crumbs, scratching at the ground a little before pecking at the crumbs, chirping softly in approval. "I'm glad you like them." Claus and, "I knew this boy named Ventus, we would always come out and feed you bird types together. I wonder what happened to him." Ven stopped pecking at the bread crumbs when his name was brought up, looking up at Claus sadly, remembering the times they'd spent together, quickly looking down and scratching the ground, not bothering with the crumbs now. "if you see Ven, can you let him know I'm looking for him?" Claus asked him. Ven looked at him again, his wings spreading as if to mime out that it was him, that he was Ven. His head fell again before glancing over at his pokemon family waiting for him on the other side, looking back at Claus. How could he make him see? "just let him know I'm looking for him." Claus said, continuing on. Ven watched Claus before chirping at him softly, hopping away before flying back over to his brothers, glancing back at Claus again sadly, before turning his attention to what they were doing. "So what'd I miss."

"I don't know, what did you miss" Pidgeot said.

Ven looked at Pidgeot and sighed, his head down as his claws absently clawed at the ground. "That was Claus...like I thought...as it turns out, he's looking for me." His feathers fluffed up slightly in mild irritation, before looking down again. "I miss hanging out with him I guess..."

Pidgeot could feel Ven's frustration, and quickly gets an idea, "Pidgey, how about you and Ven go back to Windsurfing for about an hour." he said to the little brother. Pidgey looked at Pidgeot and tilted his head, before agreeing. "Alright, maybe some surfing will cheer him up." Pidgey looked at Ven before pulling on him, taking off as Ven slowly took off to follow him, not bothering to ask what Pidgeot had in mind.

"Jacob, bring claus to the Shrine, I'll be waiting there" Pidgeot said, flying toward the shrine. Jacob watched Pidgeot and nodded, waiting until he took off before flying over to Claus, chirping and hopping excitedly at him.

"oh, hello" Claus said, offering Jacob will place to perch. Jacob chirped before hopping onto the perch, squawking at him before looking in the direction Pidgeot had left, trying to get him to come to the shrine. "you want to show me something?" Claus asked. Jacob nodded and chirped happily, motioning towards the shrine as he flapped his wings excitedly, hopping up and down to get Claus to go with him.

"Okay little guy, here, get perched on my shoulder and point me in the right direction." Jacob chirped happily before hopping up to his shoulder, his wing gesturing to the direction to go with to get to the shrine. following Jacobs directions, Claus found himself at the wing shrine, "I've seen this before, it says sacred place for flying types, right?" Jacob chirped and nodded, gesturing him closer, hopping towards the entrance. Claus followed Jacob inside, where they both saw the beautiful sky crystal. Jacob stood aside as Claus marveled at the sky crystal, as it started to glow softly. The Spirit's voice echoed in the chamber. "Welcome to the Chamber of the Sky Crystal. Thank you Jacob for bringing him." Jacob chirped and bowed to the crystal out of respect.

Claus saw Jacob Bow, and bowed himself in respect to the crystal. The Spirit's voice echoed in the chamber again, though it wasn't intimidating in the least. "Welcome friend of Jacob. Please give me your name." "I am Claus, citizen of Sky City, now please return the favor, who are you?" "Me? I am the Spirit of the Sky Crystal. Im glad you let Jacob lead you here Claus."

"I wonder why he let me here?" Claus said curiously. The Spirit was quiet as it reached into Claus' heart, silent for awhile before understanding what was troubling Claus so much. "I see now...you miss a dear friend of yours...by name of Ventus."

"yes, he disappeared a month ago, I really miss him, I just want spend time with him again." Claus confessed.

"There is a way for you to spend time with him, but the only way is for you to evolve." Without another word, currents of wind began to pick up, easily lifting Claus into the air. Now in the air, powerful torrents of wind swirled around the boy's feet, his shoes and socks coming off effortlessly as tingling began in his feet.

"what's this" Claus said looking at his feet. The wind continued to spin powerfully around his feet, starting to change them as his human toes bulked up, two of his toes disappearing as large black claws grew from the center. His heel seemed to stretch before a fourth toe grew, a black claw growing as his new toes clenched and grabbed at nothing.

"what the" claus said, looking at his new talons. From his ankles dark feathers began to poke through his skin, growing and spreading up his legs. His knees painlessly reversed in direction, as the wind quickly removed his pants, giving Claus the chance to see what had happened to his legs.

Claus was as surprised as ever to see what was happening. As Claus watched, the dark feathers continued past his waist, as red feathers began to spread on his back. From his rear a large tail grew, bands of color at the ends of the tail feathers. The red continued up to his shoulders, stopping at his shoulders as the dark feathers did the same.

Claus gulped as the feathers reached his shoulders.

The red and black feathers continued down his arms, his hands disappearing into feathers as they grew and spread from his arms, forming large wings. They flapped as the wind rushed against them, giving him more height than with the wind alone.

"what is happening to me?" Claus finally spoke up and said. The Spirit, which had been silent through the process of the transformation almost seemed to whisper to him, to calm him and ease him into the final stage of the transformation. "You are evolving, evolving to join your friend Ventus and his family in the sky."

"evolving? into what?" Claus said. "You're evolving into Braviary." "and... Ventus has been evolved?" "Ventus has evolved. He was the Pidgeotto that sat with you for a moment. You fed him bread crumbs."

Claus couldn't believe it, he was turning into a Pokémon, and since his friend was a Pokémon, he could always be together. He finally excepted the evolution, triggering the last of it. With Claus' acceptance of the transformation, the feathers spread up his neck and over his head, thick white feathers sprouting and stretching. From the sides of his face three white feathers grew, his face finally changing as his nose and mouth stretched and formed a strong yellow beak.

as the Wind set Claus back on the ground, he took a good look at his newly evolve Braviary body, he then looked at the entrance to the chamber, where Ventus was waiting. "Ven... it's me... Claus." Claus said. Ventus had just landed after getting tired of soaring with Pidgey, looking in at the new Braviary, startled by his size. When Claus spoke however, Van jumped and glided over, looking him up and down. "Claus? When did you get here? Why are you a Braviary?"

Claus wrapped his Wings around Ven and gave him a brother bird hug. "I came here about a half an hour ago, the spirit evolved me, so that we could be brothers." Ven blinked when Claus' wings went around him, before returning the bird hug, chirping happily. "Im glad you decided to evolve. Welcome to the family- Bro."

"Good to be in the family, Brother, so, we you guys do for fun?" Ven bowed to the Crystal as the Spirit returned to it, before going outside, spreading his wings. "If you come out here Ill show you." When Claus joined Ven outside, he'd already spread his wings, giving his new brother tips on how to position his wings before jumping off the edge, flapping to get airborne. When Claus did the same and flew next to him, they soared awhile longer before they went to join the rest of the family to relax for the rest of the day, with a new member of the family.
