orphan transformations, Jayden

July 21st, the sudden adoption of five of his friends, Jayden was very cautious when he was in the forest. he's nervously sat at the usual spot, hoping to meet up with his friends. He believed it was all a fluke, a prank. He's nervously months into an Apple while he waited.

As Jayden waited, soft padding approached him, leaf litter crackling softly under Kali's paws. She peeked from one side of a tree leading to the clearing, watching Jayden as he  bit into the apple. She chuffed softly to maybe catch his attention, before padding closer to him, her tail flicking from side to side.

Jayden finished up his Apple, but he is still very hungry. "I wish I brought another Apple" he said as his stomach growled.

Kali squeaked at him when she got closer, her ears perked as she watched him and heard his stomach grumble. She made a mewling sound at him when she got closer, watching him curiously. finally noticing Kali, Jayden Yelped like a Puppy, "d-d-d-don't hurt me" said Jayden, scared out of his mind.

Kali tilted her head before padding closer, pawing and chewing on his shoelace before looking up at him, squeaking again. "you're not going to hurt me?" Jaydem asked,  calming down.

Kali watched him before spitting the cotton lace out of her mouth, her ears perking up before scampering off, her tail still visible as she rolled an apple into view, batting it around before rolling it over to him, mewing at him and motioning to the apple. "oh, thank you" Jayden said, picking up the Apple and munching away.

Kali didn't move from her spot, sitting as she watched him eat, her tail swinging back and forth behind her, glancing down when a bug crawled over her paw, flicking it away before looking back at Jayden as he ate.

once fully finished, Jayden picked him himKali up and Gently Hugged, "thanks little cub, is anyway I can repay you for your kind gesture." He asked.

She mewed when he picked her up and hugged her, rubbing her head against him before squirming free of his grip, looking over her shoulder at him, scampering a few feet away, motioning him forward to keep following her.

Curious about her behavior, Jayden quickly followed her.

Kali glanced back occasionally to be sure he continued to follow her, weaving between trees and bushes just to have fun with him. "Please Slow Down." Jayden said, trying his best to catch up.

Kali stopped to let him catch up, mewing at him as if to hurry him along, scampering ahead again as she glanced around, recognizing the area as they approached the hollow. Jayden just kept running to catch up, desperate to see what the Cub was up to.

The cub stopped finally, looking back at Jayden before stepping into the hollow as she looked around, as if looking for something- or someone. Jayden quickly caught up right outside the hollow, "is this what you wanted to show me?" he asked.

Kali padded to the center of the hollow and turned around, smiling at him as her tail wagged behind her. She glanced around again before an eagle's screech made her ears fold back, turning around to look for the source as a Golden Eagle pulled himself out of hiding, his wings spreading before lofting down next to the cub.

"whoa... a real Golden Eagle?" Jayden said, watching from outside.

The eagle's fierce eyes settled on Jayden as he remained outside of the hollow, not moving as Kali motioned him closer with her paw. Jayden cautionly steppedinto the hollow and closer to the Golden Eagle, reaching out to pet him.

The eagle didn't protest to Jayden's wish to pet him, letting him pet him as his fierce gaze remained on Jayden, his wings nestling against his back as he adjusted his weight on his perch. Jayden gently pets the Golden Eagle, smiling the whole time. "It's nice to meet you both, but now I need to go back to my usual spot and find my friends." Jayden said, proceeding to leave.

The eagle's eyes flashed before his claw grabbed onto Jayden, his wings beating to stop him and pull him back. "ow!!! let go of me, I have to find my friends." Jayden said.

The eagle screeched in protest, still holding on to him before his gaze went down to Jayden's legs, his talons letting him go before his beak latched onto his shoes and socks, pulling against them to get them off. Jayden, unable to understand what was going on, removes his shoes and Socks. With Jayden's feet free now, the eagle looked down at his feet, as his human feet and toes began to change, the structure of his feet shifting as his nails darkened and hooked into sharp talons.

Jayden was shocked by the sight of his new talons as the Lion Cub Tore his shorts off.

With his shorts removed, the change could really be seen now, the skin around his new talons turning dark yellow. As the yellow color trailed up his legs, they thinned out, his smaller feet hardly able to support him. His legs shortened before his knees reversed in direction, his taloned feet clawing at the ground and air.

"what's going on here" Jayden said, terrified by his sudden transformation. the Lion cub removed Jayden's sleeveless without ripping it.

Jayden's legs finally seemed to finish thinning out, as short dark brown feathers sprouted on his thighs, the same feathers covering his rump as longer more powerful feathers stretched and grew, adjusting quickly as if to balance him despite his half-bird half-human form.

Jayden became more and more scared, didn't know what to do.

Jayden's fear didn't slow the transformation, as the brown feathers traveled up past his waist and up to his chest, altering it to make the shape of an eagle, as his arms stretched out on either side of him. As he did so, shorter brown feathers covered his arms and forced his arms to bend at the elbow, trapping them in that position as his fingers and hands were quickly replaced by long feathers.

"i'm... turning into an Eagle?!" Jaden finally realized as the feathers halted at his neck.

The golden eagle nodded, his beak opening and instead of cawing and screeching, a human voice was heard. "You are Jayden, turning into a golden eagle like myself. My friends and I have been watching over you and your companions, waiting for the day you could transform and be adopted by one of us. Today happens to be your day Jayden, and I, Ventus would like to adopt you."

Jayden was dropped jawed, just by Ventus Talking, but then the words got him dropped jawed even more, "so... you want... to make me your Eaglet?" Jayden nervously asked, starting to calm down a little, what still nervous.

Ventus frowned slightly, despite having a beak, before moving closer to him, wrapping his wings around him, in the form of an embrace. "You'll be alright Jayden, I promise." feeling his fear and nervousness go away, Jayden looked at Ventus and smiled, "I'd Love to be your Eaglet... as long as I can still play with my friends." Jayden said.

"You'll be able to yes, but not until your whole friendship circle has been Animalized, and adopted." As Jayden enjoyed his new father's embrace, a Tear of joy came down his face, some more followed.

Ventus smiled and gently stood back to let the transformation finally finished, the brown feathers covering his head and face, his eyesight getting stronger, his nose and mouth stretching and thickening into a beak, curving inward sharply, meant to tearing and cutting. With the final changes made, Jayden shrank to about three quarters of Ventus' size, his transformation complete- he was now Ventus' eaglet.

Jayden began admiring his new self, but then he looked at the Lion Cub, "are you... Kali?" he asked, knowing very well how much Kali loved lion.

Kali smiled as her tail wagged, nodding as she got closer to him, pawing at him gently. "How did you guess? Im so glad you followed me!" "so am i" Jayden said, Hugging his Eagle Dad. "thank you Papa, for making your little Eaglet."

Ventus returned the hug to his new Eaglet, smiling at him as he spread his wings. "Im happy you could join me Jayden. I love you."

"I Love you too, so... will Lily get to be a Little River Otter Tomorrow?" Jayden asked.

Ventus nodded, his wings settling on his back again. "Yes, Aqua will be happy to have a daughter at last." Jayden yawned as Ventus brought him to his own personal nest for a nap.

Ventus gently helped Jayden into his nest, knowing he would have difficulty flying right away, pushing things around in the nest before letting Jayden in, tugging a blanket out from under the nest, something he'd made for him before changing him, wrapping him up in it gently. "Good night Papa."
